Chisholm Trail Heritage Center
Relive the adventure on the old Chisholm Trail. The Chisholm Trail
Heritage Center recreates the greatest animal migration known to
man. Come and relive the adventure of life on the wind-swept Trail
where millions of longhorn cattle were driven from deep in Texas
through Indian Territory to the railroads in Kansas. Featuring a
hands-on youth gallery where children touch, feel, and experience
the trail. Meet Jesse Chisholm and Tex whose lifelike figures talk
in the Campfire Theatre about their experiences and the centerpiece
of the Museum is the multisensory Chisholm Trail Experience Theatre.
As they see, hear, feel, and smell the adventures cowboys experienced
along the Old Trail, visitors can learn its complete story and actually
stand on its visible remains. The museum offers guided and self-guided
